Book Clubs
The library has two book clubs. One meets during the day. The other meets in the evening.
The daytime book club meets on the second Thursday of the month at Irish Blessings at 11 a.m. Most books are supplied by book club kits so it is easy to borrow a copy. Contact Terry at tandpmooney@gmail.com with any questions.
"Night Readers": Meet about every 4-5 weeks in the evening.
New groups will be forming if there is an interest. Please call the library at 320-963-2009 to leave your name and number and you will be contacted.

June 13 – July 19
These are free activities and registration is not required.
Storytime
Ages 3-5
Tuesday mornings 9:30 – 10:15
Storytime is a great opportunity to introduce your child to the library and the world of books. Join us for a fun hour of stories, singing and crafts. Each week will have a special theme to celebrate. Books will be geared towards ages 3 – 5. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Time will be provided each session for children to select and check out materials.
Read With Rowdy
Ages 6-8
Tuesday morning 9:30-10:30
The Rowdy Readers Club will begin this summer, with a mission “To inspire young readers to share books they love with people they like”. Golden retriever Rowdy will return to the library on a weekly basis to give a “Paws Up” to children who select a book that meets their interests and abilities. He’ll also provide young readers an opportunity to create a simple journal to record their summer reading and share their favorite books.
Book Club
Ages 8-10
Every Tuesday morning 9:30 – 10:30
‟Get Hooked on a Series!” Join us as we discover new worlds and meet new characters of the many book series found in our library. Each week we will explore a different book series. We will read a portion of the 1st book of a series, write about it, and discuss the book.
Read and Redeem
Ages 8 and below and 9 and up
Beginning June 13, participants pick up a slip each week at the library & choose a book at their reading level. Pre-readers may have books read to them. They record the book they read on the slip and return it to the library the next week to redeem it for that week’s prize.
Each slip that is returned will be entered in the
“Grand Prize” drawing for Maple Lake Business Bucks at the end of the summer program.
